Philip has a strong academic record with a Business and Music Degree and a Master’s degree from the University of Surrey, and a PGCE from the University of Reading. Alongside this, Philip is a founding member of the International Schools Network, member of the Chartered College of Teaching, and an UK National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) facilitator. 

Prior to NCBIS, Philip has worked at Wellington College, Berkshire, a leading British independent boarding school; Charters School, Ascot, UK – an OfSTED outstanding school before moving to Wellington College International Hangzhou, an all-through international boarding school, with the position of Deputy Head of Senior School. As a strategic leader, Philip has a proven track record in both the UK and international markets with experience of both established secondary and founding all-through boarding schools.
